I grew up in a family that raised Bench Bred (often referred to as English) labradors. I was lucky to call many labradors my best friends. Gracie, Eli, and Sajku are some of the dogs that made me adore this breed. My mom still breeds and offers her guidance to me. I started having my own litters 10 years ago and enjoy having a few litters a year on my own. My mom helped me tremendously as I branched out into the breeding world and I am proud to say that I now have my own small program. I strive to produce healthy labradors with great temperaments that are bred correctly to breed standard. Additionally I aim for heavy bone, expressive faces, and over all the thick build that a well bred Labrador should have. I am blessed to have a husband who enjoys the dogs as much as myself, and a daughter who has claimed the title of “master puppy raiser.” Raising and loving these dogs is a team effort and I could not ask for a better team or a better crew of dogs. We consider our dogs family and make sure each one is socialized and loved as any dog should be. You will rarely find us out without a dog or two in tow!
Genetic testing is extremely important in any breed. If you are planning on buying a puppy from a breeder make sure that the parents have their health clearances!
All of my dogs have either Pennhip or OFA clearances for their hips, some have both. Elbows are certified through OFA as well. I have begun doing annual basic cardiac and eye certifications as well through OFA. All of my younger dogs in my program are getting advanced Echos, patella, and dentition clearances.
All dogs have full genetic testing done through DDC or Embark. They are clear for EIC, PRA, DM, CNM, Cystinuria, and HNPK. Some may be clear by birth for these genetic tests as both parents are clear for the genes. As I grow as a breeder I am learning about additional tests that should be done so I am often adding in new tests as well. I have found that it is always important to take good advice from seasoned breeders and take constructive criticism to better this beloved breed.
My waitlist is often full as I am a small breeder however you can email me with questions and availability. I am always willing to help you find a reputable breeder! Please note that I DO NOT sell any puppies for breeding. ALL of my puppies are sold with limited registrations
I DO NOT and will not ever breed dilute labradors. Labradors come in three colors; Black, Chocolate, and Yellow ranging from light yellow to fox red (per AKC Breed Standard) Silver, Charcoal, or Lavender “labradors” are not labradors they are the result of unethical breeding practices and have many health issues.
